Rotten Ralph's – a popular Anna Maria Island restaurant – may be closing.
The Bradenton Beach City Commission voted to terminate the restaurant's lease at the city pier, because Rotten Ralph's owes $50,000 in back rent, Bay News 9 reports.

Restaurant owner Dave Russell told Bay News 9 that he wants to try to stay open and in business at the pier. He hopes to meet with commissioners and work out a deal.
Russell said that business was down after Tropical Storm Debby, which damaged the pier, closing off some sections to the public.

Construction of a floating dock and repairs to the pier are expected to be completed soon, and bring more business to the pier and restaurant.
