The man was found dead in his home Friday afternoon after a neighbor noticed his front door was wide open. The neighbor tried calling Orum and even went next door and shouted through the open door. When he didn't get an answer he had his wife call 911.

When deputies arrived at the house they went inside and found Orum on the floor, according to a Manatee County Sheriff's report. There was trauma to the body and detectives are treating the case as a homicide.
