Storm to Bring Rain, Wind, Cooler Temperatures
The developing storm in the Gulf is expected to move into the area starting today.

Forecasters with the National Hurricane Center are monitoring a developing system in the Gulf of Mexico.
An area of low pressure near the Yucatan Peninsula is expected to bring rain and wind to the Tampa Bay area starting today. The system could bring 2 to 4 inches of rain and winds of up to 25 mph to the area, according to forecasters. It is expected to move out of the area by the end of the day Wednesday and leave behind much cooler and drier weather heading into the weekend.
The system is not currently expected to develop into an organized storm. The National Hurricane Center has scheduled a reconnaissance aircraft to fly into the system this afternoon if necessary.
