A suspicious-looking water bottle caused a Publix supermarket to be evacuated for a short time Monday.

BRADENTON, FL — A suspicious-looking water bottle caused a Publix supermarket to be evacuated for a time Monday.
"It was a water bottle with wires coming from it," explained Captain Brian Thiers of the Bradenton Police Department.
The incident happened at the Publix located at 7310 Manatee Ave W in Bradenton. Police did not immediately say whether they had surveillance images of the person who left the suspicious water bottle behind.

"There was no threat to any store or persons in the area" said Thiers. "Publix was evacuated for about one-and-a-half hours."
