Teen Motorcyclist Killed In University Park Crash: FL Highway Patrol
An 18-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash with a truck at the intersection of University Parkway and N. Cattlemen Road, FHP said.
UNIVERSITY PARK, FL — A teen motorcyclist was killed in an early Sunday morning crash in the University Park area, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The 18-year-old Sarasota man was heading east on University Parkway approaching the North Cattlemen Road intersection around 1:30 a.m.
As a truck, traveling north in the outside left turn lane of North Cattlemen Road, turned left onto University Parkway, it hit the motorcycle, which entered the intersection, FHP said.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, the agency said.
