Teen Wanted In Greenbrook Park Murder
One arrest has been made as deputies search for a second suspect in connection with a murder at Greenbrook Park.

BRADENTON, FL — The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help locating a 17-year-old boy wanted in connection with a recent murder at Lakewood Ranch’s Greenbrook Park. According to the agency, Alan Baily is wanted on murder and armed robbery charges.
The sheriff’s office has announced the arrest of another person in connection with the case. Jose Hernandez, 19, was brought into custody Saturday on murder and armed robbery charges.
The case Hernandez and Baily have been connected to unfolded in early February.

The sheriff’s office said 23-year-old Alexander Cherp was found at the park just after midnight Feb. 5 by an on-duty security guard. Cherp had been shot and was laying outside of his car, a 2013 gray four-door Mercedes.
Cherp was taken to a local hospital, but died from his injuries.

Detectives believe the shooting that led to Cherp’s death happened between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 4, a Tuesday, Feb. 14 email from the sheriff’s office said.
The Goldstar Club of Manatee County stepped forward last week with a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to arrests in the case. That money was on top of a $3,000 reward offered by Crime Stoppers.
