Tickets Now Available for AMICCO 2016 Symphony on the Sand

BRADENTON, FL – It’s time once again for area residents to enjoy a bit of fine dining and symphonic music on the beach with the Anna Maria Island Chorus & Orchestra.

However, this year’s Symphony On the Beach features three nights of concerts with AMICCO highlighting the event on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Joining the main concert this year is country artist John Michael Montgomery featuring Ray Scott and Walker McGuire on Friday, Nov. 11 and The Stranger: The Ultimate Billy Joel Experience on Sunday, Nov. 13.

All three concerts take place on the beach at Coquina Gulfside Park, 2650 Gulf Drive S.

Jeanie Pickwick, the executive director of AMICCO and the chairwoman of the Symphony on the Sand steering committee, said they are excited about the expansion of the event to three days. The event runs the same time as the artsHOP around Anna Maria Island and the Keep Manatee Beautiful SandBlast.

“With celebration of our courageous veterans on Friday, Nov. 11, this will be a great three-day weekend to come out to the beach and enjoy what we have in abundance in our area – extraordinary music, delicious food, spectacular beaches, art walks, live theater and a great sense of community,” she said.

Symphony on the Sand attendees can purchase small plates created by local restaurants. Dining offerings include a salad course, several entrée selections plus a dessert with complimentary fine wine and select beers for $125 per ticket.

Other ticket options include $50 for individual chairs, which does not include food, and a $20 option for attendees to bring their own blanket or chair and sit inside a roped-off area closer to the stage. A cash bar and concessionaire food will be available for people who purchase the two ticket options.

Tickets for the John Michael Montgomery concert are $65 for VIP front-row seating, $45 for VIP seating and $20 advance general admission (bring your own blanket). Tickets for The Stranger are $45 for VIP front-row seating, $30 for VIP seating and $20 for general admission (bring your own blanket).
