Toddler Left in Car Died From Heat Stroke: Sheriff's Office
Preliminary results show the 3-year-old died from hyperthermia.

Preliminary tests show that a youngster left for three-four hours in a hot car Saturday afternoon died from hyperthermia, or heat stroke, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
According to officials, the boy was accidentally left in the car while his mother and father attended a funeral. Police say the mother and father, who are from Lehigh Acres, drove in separate cars to the babysitter's to drop off their children before going to the funeral.
They dropped off the other children, who are 4 and 5 years old, and then left for a funeral in Palmetto. Detectives believe the child was in a car for 3-4 hours Saturday afternoon.
