Toddler's Body Found After 2 Kayaks Capsize In Florida
The body of a 3-year-old boy was found late Saturday night, several hours after two kayaks overturned near Snead Island.

PALMETTO, FL -- The body of a 3-year-old boy was found late Saturday night, several hours after two kayaks overturned near Snead Island, according to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office.
The agency's Randy Warren said that the toddler appeared to have drowned after falling out of one of the kayaks.
"Two kayaks capsized while returning to a dock at around 8 p.m.," said Warren, adding that first responders searched for the child for several hours.

Three people were rescued from the Kayaks. In addition to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, the U.S. Coast Guard and Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission participated in the search.
Snead Island is home to Emerson Point Preserve, a 365-acres preserve operated by Manatee County.
