Two Arrests Follow Purse Snatching, Robbery Attempt
According to the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, an attempted robbery and a purse snatching Sunday are related.

A 19-year-old man and a juvenile face charges in connection to an attempted robbery and a purse snatching Sunday outside businesses on Cortez Road West.
Dillon Ureman, 19, and an unnamed juvenile were arrested by deputies on Sunday afternoon, April 7. According to a press release from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, witness reports helped deputies investigating the crimes identify the suspects.
According to the Sheriff's Office, the two incidents occurred a short time apart and are related.

- At 12 p.m. Sunday, a 37-year-old woman was standing outside Plato's Closet, at 665 Cortez Rd. West, when a suspect approached her and pointed a gun at her. The victim refused to turn over her money, and the suspect fled the scene.
- At 12:59 p.m., a 30-year-old woman was robbed of her purse outside of the Marshalls Department Store, at 7100 Cortez Rd. West. A suspect exited a vehicle and grabbed the purse.
According to the press release, "Through investigation and great witness observations, we were able to locate and arrest the two suspects. "
