Two Gunmen Attack a Man and Woman as They Arrive Home

The pair steal money and two cars after beating one of the victims and tying up a 10-year-old.

Deputies are searching for two gunmen who forced a couple inside a home, tied them up, along with a 10-year-old and then ransacked their house and stole their cars.

The two men were wearing masks and carrying handguns, according to a report from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office. They attacked a 25-year-old man and 26-year-old woman as they were walking up to their house in the 400 block of 34th Ave. Dr. E.

The suspects acted like they were police and forced the couple inside the house. Once inside the men tied up the two adults and a 10-year-old who was inside the house. A 4-year-old was also inside the house, but was sleeping so the gunmen left her alone.

The suspects hit the male victim on the head with their guns and punched him. They didn’t demand anything, according to the report, but went looking for money. They found cash and car keys.

When the suspects left, one of them took the Dodge Charger that belongs to the female victim. The suspects later found male victim's Cadillac. At that point, they left the Charger and took the Cadillac.

The male victim was the only one injured in the attack and he was treated and released on scene by EMS.
