Van Driver Dies In Manatee County Crash With Truck: FL Highway Patrol
A van and a box truck collided Wednesday afternoon in Manatee County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — The driver of a van was killed in a late Wednesday afternoon crash with a box truck in Manatee County, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.
The van was heading west on Tallevast Road, east of Ponce De Leon Avenue, around 5:30 p.m. At the same time, the truck was traveling east on Tallevast Road.
The van veered left into the eastbound lane of Tallevast Road and hit the left side of the truck, FHP said.

The 65-year-old Bradenton man driving the van was critically injured in the crash. He was brought to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, the agency said.
The truck’s driver, a 59-year-old Sarasota man, was uninjured in the crash, which is under investigation.
