Worker Who Went Missing While Making Deliveries Dies: Manatee Sheriff
The man, who was last seen when he left to make a delivery for his employer last month, died Wednesday, the Manatee County sheriff said.
MANATEE COUNTY, FL — A worker reported missing by his employer last month died Wednesday morning from a medical event, according to a Manatee County Sheriff’s Office news release.
William Golden, 69, was last seen Aug. 20, when he used his employer’s truck to make a delivery from Sarasota to Bradenton. His employer reported him missing on Aug. 29.
The truck was found abandoned on Interstate 75 in Manatee County on Aug. 21, the sheriff’s office said.

Detectives learned recently that Golden was at a local hospital, where he died Wednesday morning. There weren't any signs of foul play.
