CLEARWATER, FL — While the jackpot-winning ticket in the weekend’s Powerball drawing was sold in Oregon, someone in Florida is $1 million richer.

A single ticket sold in Portland matched all six numbers drawn - 22, 27, 44, 52 and 69 - as well as the red Powerball 9 to take home the $1.326-billion jackpot, the fourth-largest in Powerball history. The PowerPlay multiplier was 3X.

The drawing, which was scheduled for Saturday night, took place Sunday at 2:29 a.m. Eastern Standard Time because one state lottery needed additional time to complete the required pre-draw procedures, according to a Powerball news release.

This was the second time the Powerball jackpot has been hit this year. The jackpot was previously won on New Year’s Day in Michigan by a ticket that won a $842.4 million jackpot.

The next Powerball drawing, which has an estimated jackpot of $20 million, will take place Monday at 10:59 p.m. from the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee. Powerball tickets are $2 to play and are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
