Clearwater Regional Chamber Looking for Mr./Ms. Clearwater

Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce members are asked to nominate the next Mr/Ms Clearwater.

Deadline for nominations is Dec. 10.

The traditional surprise announcement will be Jan. 23, 2012 at the Chamber's annual meeting at the Sheraton Sand Key Resort.

The award is presented yearly since 1958 to an individual in the greater Clearwater area who has contributed to the community in a significant way for many years and who meets the criteria set forth by the Chamber.

If you have someone in mind, there are several things to take into consideration when nominating including:

• Active in civic affairs and organizations
• Performs voluntary services not pertaining to his/her business or profession
• Could represent Clearwater with distinction at various functions
• The nominee shouldn't hold a public office
• Demonstrated history of meaningful community involvement
• Lives within the Greater Clearwater area
