Library Hosts Teen Talent Contest

Clearwater Public Libraries are hosting the "That Thing I Can Do" online talent contest throughout the summer.

Talents can include singing, dancing, playing musical instruments, performing magic tricks, or showing any other unusual stunts or abilities, within reason.

Up to five minute long video entries from students in grades six to 12 will be accepted from April 29 to June 10.

Library staff will review the Youtube videos for each entry for length and suitability, and if accepted, will give confirmation to the contestant, and post links to their video on the library’s website.

Then, contestants can encourage friends and family to view their videos on the Clearwater website and solicit “like” votes. The video with the most “like” votes by July 1 will be declared winners. Gift cards will be awarded as prizes.
