Bicyclist Has Life-Threatening Injuries After Clearwater Crash

A Clearwater bicyclist sustained possible life-threatening injuries following a collision with a vehicle Friday morning.
Tadd Rice, 46, was transported to Bayfront Medical Center by air ambulance after being treated at the scene just before 7:30 a.m.
According to Clearwater Police, a Dodge Caravan was traveling westbound on Court Street in the left median lane as Rice was riding southbound from Lincoln Avenue, crossing the westbound lanes diagonally toward the median.

Rice, according to police, was attempting to get onto the center raised median when he was struck, a news release said.
