Sobriety Checkpoint Nets 14 DUI Arrests

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies and Clearwater Police issued 35 citations, impounded 17 cars and arrested 14 drivers for DUI, during a checkpoint Friday night at Clearwater High School.

Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies and Clearwater Police issued 35 citations, impounded 17 cars and arrested 14 drivers for DUI, during a checkpoint Friday night at . 

Officers diverted 489 vehicles through the checkpoint from 10 p.m. to 3 a.m. in the parking lot at the school which is along busy Gulf to Bay Boulevard. There were 1,334 that passed by, according to officials.
