Child Stuck In Clearwater Chimney

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater emergency responders were working Monday night to free a child who managed to get stuck in a chimney.

According to the police department, a call came in from the 500 block of Woodlawn Street around 6 p.m. Jan. 16. When police and firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a young child trapped inside a home's chimney.

While officials haven’t said how the child managed to inside the chimney, they did say firefighters were dismantling parts of the structure to free the girl.

The girl’s age and name are not being released at this time. Further information is not yet available.
