Clearwater Audubon Society Seeks Student Explorers

Clearwater Audubon Society has 12 openings in its Audubon Explorer program.

Students who want to learn more about birding and Pinellas County's unique environment can join the Clearwater Audubon Society Explorer program.

There are 12 spaces available.

The class leaders are all experienced birders or naturalists. Participants will have opportunities to identify birds by sight, song and habitat.

Birders of all levels of knowledge are welcome to join. Most meetings will take place in the best birding areas, and the goal is to see and identify as many different species as possible. Please bring binoculars.

The locations for the monthly meetings vary upon the season and month to maximize the quality of the time spent in the field observing and identifying birds, plants, and other wildlife. Since birds are most active in the early morning hours, meeting times will reflect that.
