Clearwater Fire Crews Take Car Dashboard Apart To Rescue Trapped Cat

As crews were wrapping up after a small fire, a woman approached them and told them her cat had crawled up into the dash of her car.

With the owner's permission, firefighters methodically began taking the dash apart and were able to rescue the cat in about an hour.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crew members responded to a small fire Thursday night in the 2900 block of Drew Street.

As they were wrapping things up, a woman approached them and told them her cat had crawled up into the dash of her car. With her permission, they methodically began taking the dash apart and were able to rescue the cat in about an hour.

The owner was extremely grateful for the crew's hard work and perseverance.
