Clearwater Man Accused of Raping 49-Year-Old

A 29-year-old Clearwater man has been accused of breaking into a home and raping a 49-year-old woman.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, the man broke into the woman’s home in a residence in unincorporated Clearwater a little after 3:30 a.m. Thursday. 

The woman was asleep and awoke to find the man engaged in “sexual activity” with her, according to a media release.

The man fled, and the woman called the police, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The man was arrested an hour and a half later at his home.

The man knew the woman and specifically targeted her, according to detectives.

The authorities are not disclosing the woman’s identity or the location of the incident. The investigation is continuing.

Arrested was Jordan Christopher Henry, 1890 Wolford Road #7. He was charged with sexual battery and burglary of an occupied dwelling.
