Clearwater Police: Men Shot Marbles at Businesses, Moving Vehicles
There are 28 cases reported, including 21 businesses and seven vehicles hit by marbles over the weekend. Detectives are working to determine the number of charges for each suspect, police say.

Clearwater Police say 21 businesses and seven vehicles were apparently hit with marbles shot from a slingshot from Saturday night into Sunday.
Police arrested the suspects, Dominick Zambrano, 24, and Seth Cazalas, 22, on charges of shooting a deadly missile at an occupied vehicle and
criminal mischief.
They are still sorting through all the reports to determine the final number of charges, according to police.

Police began to investigate the alleged crimes after several reports of damage.
The incidents occurred at the beach, downtown and in other parts of Clearwater. The suspects broke windows at a Surf Style, Bob Heilman's Beachcomber, Peace Memorial and Calvary Baptist Church, according to police.

Witnesses, police said, described the suspect's vehicle as a white sports car.
Patrol officers located a vehicle that fit the description parked on Cleveland Street near Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue at 10 p.m. Sunday.
According to the police report, around that same time there was another report of a vehicle with a window shot out in that area, apparently moments before officers located the car.
Police officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and found Zambrano and Cazalas in possession of evidence linking them to the crimes.
Officers, a news release said, collected slingshots and marbles matching the ones recovered at various crime scenes throughout Clearwater.
Both men admitted their involvement in several cases, police said.
