Clearwater Software Company iDatix Opens New Headquarters

iDatix opened its doors with a ribbon cutting and open house even in January.

Local software company iDatix has officially expanded and opened its new headquarters in Clearwater.

According to Pinellas County Economic Development, the move allows the company to strengthen its presence in Pinellas County.

"My roots are here in Pinellas," said iDatix CEO and founder Steve Allen. "I grew up in the area and launched iDatix here 13 years ago. The county and the city of Clearwater have been superb supporters of the business community. I wouldn't have wanted to expand anywhere else."

iDatix opened its doors with a ribbon cutting and open house even on January 24. They purchased the building, formerly occupied by Achieva Credit Union, in April 2012 for $2.8 million, according to property records.

“The timing was right; another company moved out of what was a perfect space for us and we moved in right behind them,” said Allen in a news release.

According to the county, iDatix is a provider of software solutions and support services to a variety of industry sectors, such as national defense, manufacturing, healthcare and banking.

"It really worked out well,” said Scott Talcott, Business Development Manager at Pinellas County Economic Development in a news release. “The building required very few changes to comfortably house iDatix and, by reusing an existing structure, the company supported Pinellas County’s redevelopment efforts.”
