Cold Weather Shelters Opening In Pinellas County

With wind chills expected to drop to near freezing Thursday, Pinellas County has announced the opening of its shelters.

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — As forecasters at the National Weather Service predict wind chills in Pinellas County to drop temperatures to near-freezing Thursday morning, officials have announced the opening of cold weather shelters.

According to Pinellas County, its shelters will open Wednesday night, March 15 to provide people a hot meal, a warm place to stay and breakfast on Thursday morning. Shelters open between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Wednesday and will close around 6 a.m. Thursday, unless otherwise noted.
