Here is your Republican primary and Clearwater elections checklist before heading out to vote. Polls are open today from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Florida is a closed primary state, which means only registered Republicans can vote today.
All Clearwater voters also will choose their next mayor and make changes to the city charter including adding time that councilmembers can serve on the city council and extending the time between making changes to the charter.

Valid Identification: Ex: Florida Driver's License, Florida ID Card, United States Passport, ect. For a complete list of forms of acceptable identification view this section of the Pinellas County Supervision of Elections office website.

What's on Clearwater ballots:
Mayoral candidates George Cretekos and Christine Marketos-Cuomo are vying for the city's top seat.
The language of the ordinances is below:
- Ordinance 8296-11: Require the Charter Review Committee to meet every six years instead of every five years.
- Ordinance 8297-11: Increase the number of consecutive terms a councilmember can serve from two to three, beginning with the election this month.
- Ordinance 8298-11: Require that a notice of the availability of the annual city audit be published.
