was stabbed on Jan. 24 near her home by her ex-boyfriend. She is recovering from the 18 stab wounds mostly to her head and neck.
A benefit in her honor is planned at the American Legion Post 7. The event features a dinner, raffle and live entertainment.
Donations will be accepted through the "Foundation Benefit Fund for Melissa Dohme" set up at Wells Fargo bank.
