Fire Devours Clearwater Home, Then Moves To Home Next Door

Firefighters arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, which then spread to a vehicle and the house next door.

CLEARWATER, FL — No injuries were reported but a fire devoured a home at 1006 Jone St., Clearwater, Monday morning.

Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department crews responded to a house fire at 4:16 a.m. at 1006 Jones St. and arrived to find the house fully engulfed in flames, which then spread to a vehicle at the side of the house and to a house next door at 1008 Jones St.

The resident at 1008 Jones St. was able to get out of the house safely.

At this time, firefighters have been unable to conduct a search of 1006 Jones St. because the structure has been deemed unsafe. The cause is unknown.
