Five Things to Know for the Fourth of July

Government offices are closed, fill up the boat or other recreational vehicle on the cheap, find a fireworks display and more is going on in Clearwater on the Fourth of July.

 

1. Weather: It should be a great day for fireworks and barbecues. Expect a mostly sunny day with a high near 90 and a 20 percent chance of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

3. Traffic: As part of , the Memorial Causeway Bridge (the main way to Clearwater Beach and Island Estates) will be closed from 9 to 10 p.m. Use Sand Key Bridge or just wait out the hour enjoying the fireworks display.

4. Closings: City offices, including libraries, are closed in observance of Independence Day. Other government offices are closed too.
