Five Things to Know Today

As important as putting pants on one leg at a time.

Like some fresh fruit and a bowl of oatmeal here are a few things to start the day:

  1. Expect sunshine and the mercury to reach up to 70, according to the National Weather Service. Pretty good day to hit the links.
  2. Celebrate the 19th Amendment, today is Susan B. Anthony Day. The woman suffragist was born this day in 1820. Did you know that women in Clearwater got the right to vote years earlier, when Sue Barco cast her ballot to fund a bridge to Clearwater Beach.
  3. City Council work session is today. The council will discuss city business Thursday for its bimonthly meeting.
  4. Find out some from longtime beach resident Anne Garris at the beach library.
  5. Have you seen the troupe? More than 23 million people have. If you still haven’t tonight is your chance.
