2. Contest: Local artist Tim Boatright designed but the cast, bottlenose creation remains nameless. Offer up a suggestion and you could win a Keg-A-Que grill, according to a gas system Facebook post. All entries must be submitted by noon on Monday, July 30.

3. Elections: Have you gotten your ballot in the mail yet? The Pinellas County Elections Office has remote dropoff sites for ballots for the Aug. 14 Primary Election. Clearwater locations open Monday, July 30, and include:

  • Tax Collector, 29399 U.S. Highway 19 N
  • 1663 Gulf to Bay Blvd.

4. Volunteer: Volunteers are needed for CareFest. Care projects include, painting, planting, cleaning up and doing minor house repairs. There are eight projects already in Clearwater that need volunteers or items donated. Register at , 1625 N. 5. Pet pals: The needs foster volunteers to help with the many kittens and puppies they have that are still too young for adoption. The shelter can supply necessary food and supplies. If you are interested in helping out, email foster@humanepinellas.org or call 727-797-7722.
