Gunshot Victim in Critical Condition

A man is in critical condition after being shot late Sunday night, according to Clearwater Police.

Two of Raul Torres' friends took him to meet someone at the dead end near the 600 block of Grant Street when he was shot around 11:03 p.m., according to investigators. 

"Detectives believe this may be drug-related," Elizabeth Watts, police spokeswoman, said in a release.

The two friends drove Torres, 41, to Morton Plant Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Torres was stabilized and taken to Bayfront Medical Center, according to police.

Detectives do not have a description of the suspect or suspects at this time and are continuing the investigation.
