Hope Villages Of America To Benefit From Winn-Dixie Bloomin’ 4 Good

CLEARWATER, FL — Hope Villages of America was selected as the May beneficiary by the Winn-Dixie at 10202 Seminole Blvd. in Largo. Hope Villages of America will receive a $1 donation for every $12.99 Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet purchased at this Winn-Dixie location in May.

“We are thrilled to have been selected as the beneficiary of the Bloomin’ 4 Good Program,” said Melinda Perry, interim CEO of Hope Villages of America. “By purchasing a Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet, shoppers can help fight hunger in their community while bringing joy to themselves or their loved ones with beautiful flowers.”

Hope Villages of America is a nonprofit organization that focuses on helping with hunger, housing and abuse. The organization’s Food Distribution Services provide nutritious groceries to tens of thousands of individuals and families living throughout Tampa Bay.

The Food Distribution Center distributes food to people at its Clearwater warehouse and delivers food to local food pantries, homeless shelters, domestic violence safe houses, soup kitchens and housing programs for the disabled and elderly to ensure access to food in the neighborhoods that need it most.

Individuals and families may access services once per month, receiving three to four days’ worth of food for all household members per visit. With a focus on nutrition, HVA makes every effort to provide healthy, nutrient-dense foods, such as lean meats and fresh fruits and vegetables.

“Every Bloomin’ 4 Good Bouquet sold at the Largo store will feed 10 or more people in need,” Perry said. “By purchasing a bouquet, shoppers can make a real difference in the lives of their neighbors struggling with food insecurity.”
