Island Estates Residents Ready for Isaac
Clearwater Beach residents were prepared for Tropical Storm Isaac on Sunday.
The was nascent Sunday afternoon.
While palms shook in the 20 mph breeze, traffic did not back up the Memorial Causeway bridge, the main route to the beach.
And the beach and Island Estates residents seemed to be taking in their normal shopping routine at the Island Estates Publix.

There was plenty of water on shelves Sunday afternoon. Most customers seemed to be their regular Sunday shopping.

Michele Desocio just moved to Island Estates from Indian Rocks Beach.
“This storm is welcoming me,” Desocio said.
She knows what to do when it comes to preparation for storms.
“Plenty of water,” Desocio said as she loaded supplies, including bottled water, into the trunk of her car. She added that batteries and candles are other essentials to have.
She said her biggest challenge will be keeping her car dry in the instance of rising waters.
