Kzoos Restaurant Opens on U.S. 19 North

The business is a cross between a sports bar and a karaoke club, with plenty of nightly entertainment options to choose from.

A new restaurant has opened up at 25000 U.S. 19 North, and owner Eli Sherman plans to offer a wide variety of entertainment options to keep his customers satisfied.

Karaoke twice a week, open mic night Tuesdays and bike night Thursdays are just a few of the events Sherman hopes will make Kzoos a fun drinking and dining destination, not just a typical sports bar.

Kzoos opened in mid-October in the former home of the Hot Ticket Sports Bar and Grill, and Sherman and his business partner are in the process of renovating the building to fit their needs. They plan on having a grand opening when the work is completed in the next few weeks.

"We're going to have a large stage with a smoke machine, flashing lights, a DJ booth and a large monitor behind the singers," Sherman says of the ongoing renovations. "Our goal is to make them feel like rock stars."

Kzoos has 20 beers on tap, 30 TVs throughout the interior and an outdoor patio for smokers. The menu is a mixture of standard bar food along with dinner items such as Ahi tuna, chicken cordon bleu and seafood. The restaurant also has a unique house specialty: fried pickles.

Sherman says any changes or additions patrons want to make to the menu or the venue will be taken into consideration.

"The customers are the boss here. I just pay the bills," he said.
