Motorcyclist Killed In Clearwater Crash Identified
High speed is believed to have played a role in a Friday morning Clearwater crash that left a Dunedin man dead.

CLEARWATER, FL — The Clearwater Police Department is investigating a fatal Friday morning motorcycle crash involving a 29-year-old man.
According to the agency, police were notified of the single-vehicle wreck in the area of Court and Chestnut streets around 3 a.m. Jan. 27. The male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearwater Fire & Rescue, an email from police said.
“High speed appears to be a factor,” the email noted, but further details about the wreck were not elaborated on. The police department has identified the motorcyclist as Anthony Louis Cardaropoli. Police say his last known address was in Dunedin. Cardaropli was operating a 2005 Kawasaki at the time of his death.

The crash closed roads in the immediate area for several hours Friday morning.
