Morton Plant Hospital Bomb Threat Prompts Suspect Search
Breaking: An overnight bomb threat called into Morton Plant Hospital has prompted the search for a suspect.

CLEARWATER, FL — A late Wednesday night bomb threat at Morton Plant Hospital turned up no explosive devices, but has sparked a search for the man responsible.
According to Clearwater Police, officers were called to the 300 Pinellas St. hospital just before midnight Sept. 21. Officers, including K9 units, conducted a floor-by-floor sweep, checked parking areas and adjacent locations, an email from the agency said.
“Nothing of significance was found; the all-clear was given after about 45 minutes,” the email said.

Police are now trying to track the person responsible for the call. The caller, the agency noted, was a man.
