  • Performances by both the Clemson University and University of Alabama marching bands

Organizers say appearances by both teams’ cheerleaders are also expected along with games and other activities.

Where to Park

Folks need to know that the Pier 60 parking lot will be off limits to visitors during the event. The lot is reserved for buses, media and “other apparatus,” the city said in an email.

The Pelican Walk Park parking garage, 483 Mandalay Ave., will be open. The new 450-space garage charges $2 an hour for parking. Visitors are also encouraged to park in downtown and take the Clearwater Ferry or Jolley Trolley to the beach. It’s also possible to bike or walk across the Memorial Causeway to access the fun.
