CLEARWATER, FL — City Furniture has opened its newest store in the Tampa Bay area at 17011 U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater, according to its website.

City Furniture has plans for additional stores in the Tampa Bay area, Andrew Koenig, chief executive officer, told Tampa Bay Business & Wealth, in February 2023.
This includes a 144,000-square-foot showroom planned in Pasco County in Cypress Creek Town Center at 25857 Sierra Center Blvd., the Tampa Bay Business Journal reported. There are also plans in the works for a Sarasota location to open in 2025.
The 1.3-million-square-foot Plant City location, which includes a showroom, full warehouse and the regional corporate headquarters, and a cafe and wine bar, is key to this expansion, Koenig said.
“Our main business strategy is really to have the inventory available to satisfy the customer demand. It’s great to have furniture, but if it takes three or six months to deliver, you don’t want it,” he told TBBW. “Plant City was perfect for a showroom, plus warehouse, because there’s so much available land and we’re fairly close to the Port of Tampa, which now gives us two entrances into the state of Florida [including the Port of Miami].”
