Now Delivering: 30 McDonald’s Locations In Tampa Bay Area

Thirty McDonald's locations in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties are working with UberEATs to provide delivery service.

CLEARWATER, FL — Some Tampa Bay area McDonald’s lovers don’t have to leave the comfort of their own homes to get their fry or Big Mac fixes any longer. The fast-food chain has announced a pilot partnership with UberEATS to provide home delivery to people served by 30 different locations in the region.

The Tampa Bay area test run is part of a larger 200-store trial using Uber’s standalone delivery app. Other Florida markets now offering delivery service include Miami and Orlando.

“We are excited to bring a new level of convenience and personalization to our customers in Florida through this test with UberEATS,” Pam Williams, McDonald’s USA’s director of growth platforms, said in a statement. "A growing number of people are using UberEATS today to get their favorite foods making them an ideal partner for McDonald’s. We look forward to learning from this test as we continue to elevate the McDonald’s experience.”

Customers who live or work in the areas served by the 30 locations included in the Tampa Bay area’s test run can use the UberEATS mobile app to place their orders or go online to UberEATS.com. The full menu of items offered at participating stores is available for delivery with the exception of soft serve ice cream cones. UberEATS also says that McPick 2 and other promotional pricing offers may be excluded from delivery. Standard UberEATS booking fees do apply to each order, as well.

“We're thrilled to partner with McDonald's to give fans in Florida easy access to their McDonald’s favorites at the tap of a button," said Peter Hsu, UberEATS Florida general manager. “People in Florida search for McDonald's in the UberEATS app almost daily, so we're excited to expand our reach and deliver what they've been craving."
