19-Year-Old Skateboarder Dies Following Crash On Gulf-To-Bay Boulevard
A skateboarder has died from injuries after being struck by a vehicle on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard Friday.

CLEARWATER, FL — A 19-year-old skateboarder has died after being struck by a crane truck in the westbound lanes of Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard, just east of Old Coachman Road, Friday just before 7:30 a.m.
The skateboarder, who died after being taken to Morton Plant Hospital, has been identified as Isaiah Edward Baker Castellano, 19, of Clearwater.
The driver of the crane truck, Leoyans Lopez Diaz, 35, was headed west on Gulf-to-Bay Boulevard when he ran a red light and struck Castellano, who was on a skateboard in the crosswalk and crossing on a green light.

No signs of impairment were detected, and the driver of the crane truck cooperated with investigators.
