CLEARWATER, FL — A plane veered off the runway at Clearwater Airpark, 100 N. Hercules Ave, Monday morning, the Clearwater Police Department wrote in a Facebook post.

The plane left the runway for unknown reasons just before 8:30 a.m. as it attempted to take off.

It went into a grassy area and crashed through a fence, police said.
