Pinellas County Schools: Winter 2016-17 Dates You Need to Know

PINELLAS COUNTY, FL — With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season now in full swing, chances are more than a few kids in Pinellas County are ready for their breaks to begin. They’ll get it soon, but there are a few other upcoming dates on the district’s calendar parents also need to know about.

To help parents keep track of the holiday break and all those other important upcoming school dates, Patch rounded up those folks need to know about this winter. Here are the dates Pinellas County parents might want to jot down in their calendars:

• End of first semester – Dec. 16
• Winter holidays – Dec. 19 through Jan. 2, 2017
• First day back at the books – Jan. 3, 2017
• Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday – Jan. 16
• Non-student day – Feb. 20
• End of third quarter – March 10

And, for those whose kids be looking forward to the spring break the second bells ring following the winter holidays, that little vacation begins March 13, 2017. Kids return to school on March 21.
