Seagull Is Free Bird Thanks To Clearwater Firefighters

The crew raised its ladder truck to free a seagull that was trapped in some electric wires outside a Clearwater Beach hotel.

CLEARWATER, FL — Although there was no Lynyrd Skynyrd tune to accompany this rescue, Clearwater Fire & Rescue Department Truck 45 B shift crew members can now say they've heard a "free bird."

The crew raised its ladder truck to free a seagull that was trapped in some electric wires outside a Clearwater Beach hotel.

With the firefighters' help, "it's as free as a bird now." And, as is the case with all seagulls, "this bird you cannot change."
