A 79-year-old Clearwater man who was reported missing has been found and is safe.
Wallace Forrest Cowan was located in Clearwater, according to the Clearwater Police Department.
Before he went missing, Cowan, who has Alzheimer's disease and dementia, was seen at 5 p.m. Thursday at his apartment on Drew Street, according to the Clearwater Police Department. A Silver Alert was issued and then canceled when he was found.

According to police, the license plate for his silver 2004 Ford Taurus was run in Madison County, Florida, at 2:42 a.m. Friday, but authorities diid not know where the car went from there at the itme.
