Some Details Emerge in Clearwater Pedestrian Crash
Breaking: A pedestrian struck by a car in Clearwater Wednesday evening remained in critical condition Thursday.

CLEARWATER, FL — As the Clearwater Police Department continues to investigate a Wednesday evening crash that left a 56-year-old man with critical injuries, they have released some details.
According to the agency, Donna Timmons, 51, of Largo was heading south on Missouri Avenue around 5:58 p.m. Sept. 21 in a 2011 Kia. As Timmons passed south of Cleveland Street, a man tried to cross the road, an email from police said.
The pedestrian, who has not been identified by police, stepped in front of Timmons’ vehicle, the agency noted.

The man, a Clearwater resident, was taken to a local hospital following the crash with injuries that are described as critical. Police will not release his name until family members are notified.
