Super Gas Opens on Corner of Highland Avenue and Belleair Road

A brand new Super Gas gas station opened this week on the corner of Highland Avenue and Belleiar Road, replacing a BP station that recently vacated the spot. 

The combination gas station, deli and convenience store, located at 1600 S. Highland Ave., boasts low gas prices and high quality take-out food in addition to carrying other convenience items.

According to owner Moe Mazhar, Super Gas will have "the cheapest gas in the neighborhood," and he hopes the place will be a staple of the community.

"We want to be the neighborhood place, not like a big highway station where you never see the same people again."

The station is home to a Hot Stuff Foods franchise, which sells pizza, subs, salads and breakfast items. Patrons will be also able to purchase pizza to take home and bake themselves.

Other items for sale at Super Gas include fresh coffee, beverages, snacks, cigarettes and scratch-off tickets. 

"Customers will be able to fill up their stomachs while they fill their tanks," Mazhar said.
