Suspects Rob Clearwater Wine Store Clerk, Arrested at IHOP

The sheriff's office said the three suspects ambushed the clerk, taking his keys, cell phone and laptop.

Three men have been arrested and charged with the robbery that occurred at 11:30 p.m. Monday at Pit Stop Discount Wine in Clearwater, authorities said Tuesday.

The three suspects, Deandre Gray, Jacarius Hannah and Avery Jamal Jones-Neal, were caught shortly after the robbery at a nearby IHOP.

According to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office, the suspects hid behind parked cars in the parking lot of Pit Stop Discount Wine, located at 2201 N. Hercules Ave.

Once the clerk came outside of the business, all three suspects ambushed him, taking his keys, cell phone and laptop, according to deputies.

After taking the victim's belongings, authorities said the suspects fled the area on foot.

Deputies arrived on scene a short time later and began to set a perimeter around the immediate area. K-9 Units tracked the suspect's scent to a nearby neighborhood.  Further investigation led deputies to all three suspects hiding at an IHOP.

All three suspects were charged with strong arm robbery and transported to the Pinellas County Jail.

  • Jacarius Hannah, 18, of 2151 Alicia Drive Unit A, Clearwater
  • Avery Jamal Jones-Neal, 19, of 657 Oakwood Ave., Dunedin
