Trash, Recycling Schedule Set For Clearwater: Hurricane Irma
City of Clearwater officials announced the trash, recycling and city employee work schedule as barrier islands begin to reopen.
(Updated at 6:30 p.m. Monday) CLEARWATER, FL — City of Clearwater officials announced the trash, recycling and city employee work schedule, as all Pinellas County barrier islands will open for re-entry beginning at 4 p.m. Monday. (Subscribe to the Clearwater Patch for Irma updates.)
Residents who are usually scheduled for trash and recycling services Monday will have their trash picked up Tuesday. Those scheduled for Tuesday pick up should plan to have their trash and recycling picked up Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday pick up services will be on their regular schedule, officials said.

There are still many live power lives and much debris on the streets, and city officials warn residents to not put debris back into the roadways that city crews have cleared off.

Residents are asked to stack the debris along the curb, away from storm sewers. City crews are working along with Duke Energy crews to clean up, officials said.
City offices will open Tuesday and city employees should report to work, officials said.
Access to Clearwater Beach has reopened as of Monday evening.
