Video: Fire Rips Through Clearwater Home

An elderly woman escaped harm when her Clearwater home burst into flames Monday morning.

CLEARWATER, FL — Clearwater Fire & Rescue officials are investigating a Monday morning blaze that tore through a home on San Carlos Street. According to the agency, the home’s elderly female resident was able to escape without harm before the flames consumed the structure.

Fire rescue officials say the blaze was reported around 3:30 a.m. Feb. 13 at a home in the 3300 block of San Carlos Street. The intensity of the flames causes firefighters to evacuate residents from nearby homes, as well.

No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire at the woman’s home remained under investigation late Monday morning with both police and fire investigators on scene.
